Spin

  • SPIN is the modern version of baroque furniture with secret compartments for maps showing location of lost treasures or for personal things. At first sight only three drawers are visible but in fact five can be opened —- in all directions. A rotatable bracket has been inserted between the first and second tier, so that the upper tier can be rotated to any position. If it is rotated 180 degrees, then a secret compartment becomes visible. This mechanism is also available in a sliding version, so that SPIN can be mounted on a wall. The material used is painted, medium density fibreboard (MDF), The touch-fittings enable the drawers to be opened with a minimum of effort.
  • SPIN ist die moderne Interpretation von barocken Möbeln mit Geheimfächern für Schatzkarten oder private Dinge. Auf den ersten Blick sind nur drei Schubladen zu erkennen, tatsächlich lassen sich aber fünf Schubladen öffnen – in alle Richtungen. Zwischen erster und zweiter Etage ist ein Drehbeschlag eingearbeitet, die oberste Etage lässt sich stufenlos drehen. Bei einer Drehung um 180 Grad erscheint ein Geheimfach. Diesen Mechanismus gibt es auch als Schiebebeschlag, damit SPIN an die Wand gestellt werden kann. Als Material dient lackiertes MDF, durch Touch-Latsch-Beschläge lassen sich die Schubladen mit sanftem Druck öffnen.
